Blockhouse Timber Tool HOHL, stitch 5, ash handle without clamp

The MHG log house chisels are an ideal and indispensable hand tool for the professional construction of log and half-timbered houses. Our new series follows the turn of the century design, in the shape developed by Barr Tools with the hilt inserted into the case. Manufactured using a new forging process, these tools are characterized by high edge retention, elasticity and durability. With its high degree of structural compaction and the heat treatment quality of the high-alloy material, functional properties are achieved that were previously only possible with hand-forged tools. MHG log house chisels have a hardness of 61 ± 1 HRC over the entire working length. The tool handles are made from seasoned ash wood.
